About Us
Located in the center of Virginia , Buckingham County is one of the largest counties in the state. It offers a wide variety of recreational and leisure-time activities and is home to numerous historical sites, including the Historic Village at the Robert E. Lee Wayside on Route 60. A variety of opportunities for outdoor adventures, including hiking, fishing, camping, boating, etc. can be enjoyed at the James River State Park , located in northern Buckingham.
Buckingham is home to a wide variety of retail and commercial businesses. The Buckingham Chamber of Commerce is proud to be Buckingham’s premiere business organization with more than 160 members.
The Chamber sponsors a number of annual and special events throughout the year such as Buckingham’s Best Grandparents Contest, Volunteer of the Year and Lifetime Achievement Awards, and the Annual Christmas House Tour. The Chamber partners with Historic Buckingham to celebrate the National Day of the Cowboy as well as other programs. To find out more visit the Projects section of our website.
Chamber meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month with outstanding speakers at each meeting as well as a Show and Tell segment during which Chamber businesses showcase their products and services. A monthly newsletter goes out to all members with the location of the meeting, along with program and meal information. Chamber membership dues are only $35 per year, and are an excellent investment in a network of like-minded and involved individuals who come together to help make Buckingham County better for everyone.
