April Meeting Report

The Chamber met on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at the Squad Building. Pres Patti called the meeting to order & gave members an opportunity to introduce them selves.

After a light meal from Subway, the group heard a report on the Animal Fair from Nan Holt.

An announcement that our meeting date will be changed in May from the usual third Tuesday night to Thursday May 17th due to the scheduled Democratic Caucus which will be held on May 15 at Buckingham Co High School.

At the conclusion of our business meeting, Nan Holt introduced our speaker, Frankie Bryant, Secretary of the Buckingham County Electoral Board. He gave us facts and figures about voting in Buckingham along with several anecdotes of things that have happened at the precincts over the years.

As is our custom, he was presented with a check for $50 to be given to his favorite charity and he chose the Buckingham Co Rescue Squad.
