February Meeting Report

25 members & guests met at the Rescue Squad building on Feb 21, 2006. The meeting was called to order by President, Marty Martin.

After a light meal from the Courthouse Café, the speaker for the evening was Dr Kay Rankin, Director of the Piedmont Health District.

Chamber Board Meeting

The Chamber Board met Monday, March 6 at Heritage Hall with 8 members present.

Joe & Mary Gemski will be assembling a Chamber history scrapbook. Motion was made and passed to authorize start-up funds for this project.

Other items discussed were next year's Guidebook, the new map of the county, the possible Garden Tour, and efforts to promote tourism.

Historian Request

Mary and Joe Gemski (Chamber Historian) are looking for information relative to our Chamber of Commerce's history. If you have anything that you think should be part of the record and are willing to donate it please call Joe or Mary at 434-983-4742.
